Dead of Winter, my second mystery, was published by Five Star Books in 2007.  It is what used to be called a woman-in-jeopardy novel.  The protagonist is a young woman who returns to her remote home town after a disastrously failed marriage.  She resists pressure from her domineering mother to move back in, instead taking up residence in a log cabin she inherited from an aunt.  But someone doesn't want her around.

This was originally a novelette that I wrote for the people who publish those little booklets you see at the checkout register in supermarkets.  A few years back they wanted to do a set of Christmas related suspense stories, and I sold them the early, shorter version with a slightly different ending, but the project was cancelled and years later I decided to expand it into a novel.
